Lehigh Valley Maternity Session
When Ashley first contacted me about photographing her maternity session in the Lehigh Valley, I was thrilled because Ashley was a woman with a vision! She told me she wanted smoke bombs and a milk bath and shared her Pinterest page with me. I’m definitely a planner, so I completely respected the time and effort put into the planning of this day! I was even more excited when she told me about the gorgeous dress she rented for the occasion!
The day was truly a group effort, with Ashley’s friend Courtney doing her hair, makeup, and providing the amazing tub for the milk bath! She was also the most attentive dress fluffer I’ve ever seen. #BFFgoals, am I right? Not only that, but both Ashley’s boyfriend Tony and Courtney’s husband Kyle completely rocked the smoke bombs. We couldn’t have done it without them!
Speaking of milk baths, this was my first ever milk bath session. I was nervous, and I wasn’t even the one in the photos! I did a lot of research from fellow photographers to find out the best practices. I’d say it all paid off – It was glorious, and I’m now obsessed with them. It’s such a different, slightly sexy way to show off that baby bump.
After the threat of rain made us nervous the whole week prior to the shoot, the weather couldn’t have been better. Lockridge Furnace Museum is beautiful no matter the weather, but it is even more beautiful when the weather cooperates. I mean, look at how that glowy sun reflects off the snow! *sigh* I was thrilled to see Ashley’s vision come to life, and I am so excited to meet baby boy Ashton!
